Online retailers missing out on “Free” business!

January 4th, 2009

Many online retailers are missing out on a free source of potential customers.

This free source of traffic is available via Google’s Product Search service.

Formally known as Froogle, the service is administered via Google Base.

For some time now, products that are uploaded via Google Base are also displayed in the main Google Search Results Pages (SERPS), an example is given below following a search for “Knee Rug”

Online shop owners should be taking advantage of this free service as it has the potential to boost online sales by tens of thousands of pounds a year for even the smallest of online retailers.

We’ll be posting more information on this topic very soon
